Is it possible to feel rich without owning anything? Can you be happy without money? Heidemarie Schwermer, a German woman, chose to live without money 14 years ago. One day she left her flat, gave away everything she owned and began a new life based on exchanging favours, with no money involved. Today she lives a life full of adventure, focusing on the present without worrying about the future. The film shows the challenges this way of life brings, from getting food and transport to finding somewhere to spend the night. A reflection on materialism and over-consumption, and on how money changes the way we think, live and act, affecting our lives, our health and the environment.
