Accessibility policy

PLANETA MED, SLU wants everyone to be able to consult and use the website arxiu.docsbarcelona.com, regardless of their abilities, the device they use or the assistive technology they browse with.

1. Accessibility commitment

We take as our reference the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, incorporated into the European standard EN 301 549, together with the principles of Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services, transposed into Spanish law by Act 11/2023.

2. Level of compliance

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA: most of the content meets the guidelines, but some items are still to be addressed, as detailed below.

3. Non-accessible content

We have identified the following limitations, which we are working to resolve:

  • Some filtering and selection controls are not fully operable by keyboard and do not correctly announce their state to assistive technologies.
  • Some navigation and pagination labels are not translated into every language of the website.
  • Part of the historical catalogue imagery has no descriptive alternative text, as it comes from older documentary archives.
  • Videos embedded from external platforms depend on the captioning options each provider offers and on those added by their rights holders.
  • Some PDF documents published as supplementary material may not be tagged for assisted reading.

4. Measures to support accessibility

  • We structure pages with hierarchical headings and identified regions, and keep a coherent reading order.
  • We check the colour contrast of text and interface elements.
  • We make content responsive and usable at up to 200 % zoom without loss of information.
  • We review accessibility whenever we add new features or redesign existing sections.

5. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 13 September 2026 following a self-assessment carried out by the team responsible for the website, combining manual review with keyboard and screen reader and automated analysis tools. It will be reviewed whenever significant changes are made to the website and at least once a year.

6. Feedback and contact details

If you come across an accessibility barrier, need content in an alternative format or wish to make a suggestion, write to us at info@docsbarcelona.com, quoting the address of the page and, if you can, the browser and assistive technology you use. We undertake to reply within twenty working days.

7. Enforcement procedure
