Official Selection What the Doc

Untitled

‘I would like to convey a view of the world that can only be captured without pursuing any particular subject, acting without intention. I wander with no direction, I simply follow my curiosity and my intuition.’ That is how Austrian filmmaker Michael Glawogger described his new project, Untitled, before his sudden death in 2014. His lifelong editor, Monika Willi, immerses herself in the material her friend shot over 5 months travelling through the Balkans, Italy and northern and eastern Africa. Willi offers a genuine tribute to the art of observing, a talent Glawogger mastered like few others. A magnetic testamentary film with moving images and a contagious vital energy.
