Tea Time (La Once)

Five women have been gathering for tea once a month without fail for sixty years. They met in a religious school in Santiago de Chile, and since then the country has changed a lot. They laugh, chat and discuss with unwavering opinions the modern ways of life which they cannot comprehend. Despite having very different personalities, they have shared moments for such a long time that they forgive each other’s reproaches. Sixty becomes sixty-one and then sixty-two, and sixty-three… and every month the teapot is refilled with hot water. Their gatherings, sometimes hilarious but always filled with love, are an amusing reflection on youth, the passing of time, and friendship.
