Ser isla

Sorokdo is a Korean island marked by the scars of war, reflecting the extreme suffering and injustice of a society whose economic development is highly concentrated. The aim of this documentary is to reflect on the values of human existence by drawing close to the lives of leprosy patients excluded from society. ‘This is simply one of those films you MUST see, a classic example of a documentary telling the story of people who live in isolation because nobody wants them. They are different, they might infect us, they are not perfect human beings. This film is about leprosy and gives us a historical context, but above all it is a beautiful human document, moving and a wonderfully compassionate piece of work.’ T. S. Müller
