Robar a Rodin

The day after the opening of the first Rodin exhibition in Chile, the guards at the National Museum of Fine Arts noticed that a sculpture had been stolen. Who was the thief and why did they do it? The curiosity aroused by the empty plinth where the missing work should have stood turned the show into the most visited exhibition in Chilean history. An absurd, fascinating detective story that lets us poke fun at the contradictions of contemporary art. A decade later, artists, lawyers, theorists and the perpetrator himself revisit this artistic and criminal episode. A story that masterfully blends tension and humour to reveal who was behind the theft and what their reasons were.
