Monte Adentro

Muleteers are an endangered trade in Colombia. “Los Gitanos” are two brothers trying to survive in this ancient profession. Alonso has had to adapt to a new life in the city in order to care for his mother. Novier, the other brother, stays in the mountains looking after the family home and trying to make a living as a muleteer like his father and grandfather before him. They both miss the time they worked as muleteers together in the mountains. These memories from the past take them on an epic journey through the highest peaks in the Andes with their inseparable mules.
