Metamorphosis

Through the eyes of one citizen, Laia, we follow the success story of Barcelona En Comú. We watch it grow from its first public appearance in June 2014 under the name Guanyem Barcelona to taking power in the city on 24 May 2015. Drawing on the individual experiences of the citizens who came together to build a meeting point for social movements, neighbourhood groups and political players, the film reflects on what it means to get involved in politics. The story of a process of civic transformation that culminated in a historic victory, lived at first hand.
