LAST CHAPTER. GOODBYE NICARAGUA

On 30 May 1984 a bomb went off in the middle of a press conference at La Penca, a remote spot in the jungle on the border between Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Seven people, three of them journalists, died in the attack and twenty-two were seriously injured. Peter Torbiörnsson, a correspondent for Swedish radio and television and a sympathiser with the Sandinista cause, had agreed a few weeks earlier to travel with a supposed Danish photographer who was in fact a Sandinista spy and the terrorist who would set off the bomb. Now, twenty-five years later, Peter sets out on a journey back to uncover the truth about the attack. A journey through time that brings out the light and shade of the history of the revolutions and wars that marked an entire generation.
