The desecration of Jewish cemeteries in several towns in the south of France in 1990 is the starting point of this documentary. Through archive material, the film follows the memories of a Jewish emigrant who, before dying, recalls his childhood in the USSR and his exile in France with his family. Later, both his grave and his wife’s were desecrated during the events at the Jewish cemeteries of Nice and Carpentras. Shot in black and white and built on archive material, the documentary is a reflection on the importance of memory in human lives.
