Game Over

A young man obsessed with war games becomes a sniper in Afghanistan following his dreams. But real war bores him. Disappointed, he returns home to confront another war caused by the Spanish crisis: his parents got divorced and they are about to lose the family house. Only when he realizes that reality is not like in the movies, he will be able to grow up.

Alba Sotorra

Alba Sotorra Clua (Reus, 1980) is a Catalan documentary film director and producer. She is the founder of the audiovisual production company Alba Sotorra S.L.

Her films deal with controversial contemporary subjects involving opposing views of the world, related to current political, social and human conflicts. Her work focuses above all on human stories that reflect, from a gender perspective, on subjects such as freedom, equality and identity. They tell character-based stories with a strong narrative, for both national and international audiences.

Alba has worked in Syria, Afghanistan, Korea, Bosnia, Cuba, the United States, Guatemala, England, Iran, Pakistan, Puerto Rico and Qatar, and has lived for long periods in the Middle East. Her films have premiered at international festivals such as Hot Docs, Shanghai International Film Festival, Karlovy Vary and Seminci.

Her most notable projects are the feature documentaries Unveiled Views (2008), Qatar the Race (2011), Game Over (2015), for which she received a Gaudí Award for best documentary film, and Commander Arian (2018), nominated for the Gaudí Awards.
