Circus School (12-16)
Acrobatics is considered one of China’s national treasures. It has existed there for more than a thousand years. This film recounts the harsh experiences of a group of children before they become acrobats. The Flying Trapeze Group and the Handstand Group are training hard for the national competition. Although they are under the same great pressure, each group meets a different end. The trapeze children heroically win the competition after overcoming a great many difficulties. The other group, however, withdraws from the competition because of training fatigue. Circus School is a story of competition and survival. Despite exhaustion, injuries and even broken bones, they let nothing get in the way of their precise performances. The spirit and elegance of these children are sure to be an inspiration.
