Bugarach

Bugarach is a small village in the south of France living quietly, cut off from the world, until the international media announce that it will be the only place on earth to survive Judgment Day. The arrival of eccentric outsiders begins to unsettle the locals: the mayor tries to keep the situation under control; Slide, a child magician, sees the perfect chance to become famous; Uranie is a millenarian with a plan for her own salvation; Mirko is a boy obsessed with weapons who wants to protect the village; and Monsieur Pouce, a local scholar, believes he has found the body of Christ beneath the mountain. Together with the hunters and farmers of the area and the people who flock to the village to be saved or simply out of curiosity, they make up a landscape of existential emptiness that each of them faces through their own dreams and fears.
