A forgotten ballet company living in a half-built theatre is shaken by the arrival of Julio Bocca, one of the finest ballet dancers of all time. After retiring from performing and looking for a new place in the world of dance, Bocca takes on the challenge of directing this company and lifting it to a level of international competition. In doing so he will have to put his own name on the line as he faces the dilemmas between art and management inside a highly bureaucratic state structure.
