Amateurs in Space

Kristian and Peter are friends, they are first-rate engineers and they share a dream: to build a home-made rocket that will take them into space. If they succeed, Denmark will be the fourth country in history to send people beyond the earth’s atmosphere.

Helped by a group of aeronautics fanatics, the two must take on the greatest technical challenges, and even neglect their family duties, to make their dream come true. Can they build a rocket on the same budget as a car?

Amateurs in Space is the story of one of humanity’s great dreams and of how to make it real, in spite of the small everyday setbacks such as losing the screwdriver or arguing over whose turn it is to take out the rubbish. Is it possible to reach the stars from home?
