Neil Harbisson is a Catalan born in Northern Ireland, an artist, composer and the best-known contemporary cyborg activist, thanks to his ability to extend his own senses of colour and to perceive colours beyond the range of human vision. This is the curious story of Neil Harbisson, a sonochromatic cyborg who sees in black and white. Since 2004 he has worn a device called an Eyeborg on his head in order to ‘hear’ colours, and he hopes one day to have a magnet implanted in his skull.
