What do men talk about among themselves? In Finland saunas are where men gather, and this film focuses on the male universe, travelling through the saunas of Finland to listen to men telling their stories about life and death. With its simplicity, the camera records the singular beauty of landscapes, saunas and the world of men. Steam of Life reveals the souls of these men in an exceptionally intimate and poetic way.
