Laetitia Carton, the director, grew up with the fear of illness. Her family has had to learn to grow up and live with Huntington’s, a genetic neurodegenerative disease that slowly destroys all mental faculties. It is a disease that can appear at any age and always leads to death. There is now a test to find out whether she carries the gene or not. Laetitia has a fifty per cent chance.
