Olof Palme, Sweden’s most prominent politician, was shot dead on the streets of Stockholm one night in February 1986. In the blink of an eye, Sweden was transformed. This film is about his life and his times, about how he changed history and about the Sweden he created. Through a selection of archive clips interwoven with interviews with Palme’s colleagues, friends and, for the first time, his entire family, the film brings the Swedish politician to a wider audience, with unique access to the Palme family’s private archives, photographs and 8mm films.
