Young film students Inge Wegge and Jørn Ranum are looking for the perfect wave. But far from palm trees and sunshine, they decide to take their beloved surfboards to an Arctic island on the northern coast of Norway. There they build a wooden cabin out of driftwood and materials washed up on the shore. The remote bay hides a well-kept secret: the best surf in the world, at several degrees below zero.
