What can a grandmother, a teenager, a housewife, a lawyer, an astrologer, a chicken seller and a schoolteacher possibly have in common? They all have an appointment at ‘La Casona de Fernando’, an old Buenos Aires restaurant that runs a competition for amateur tango singers. The theme of the first round is ‘For someone special’, the second ‘The saddest tango in the world’, and in the final the contestants must sing ‘The tango of my life’, in a musical battle to win this heartfelt contest.
