In Cuba two verbs are key to getting through the day: to invent and to resolve. Sandra gets together the ingredients to work out how to cook an arroz congrí. Meanwhile, Alexis builds one of his inventions. They are from Guanabacoa, a neighbourhood of Havana where the ‘Cubans of national currency and bicycle’ live. They do not work for any foreign company, they have no contact with tourism and no relatives in the United States, so they have to use their ingenuity to get hold of everything they need.
